good night last night. stuff happened that made me figure a lot of things out and my ability to just chill has kicked in again.

i'm having a relapse. i was doing so well. this sucks.

the cold weather has hit. i blame it for my relapse. for some reason, the winter hitting this year has been a really surreal experience, which is strange because my usual surreal season is fall. it's the season i wander around the most; it's the season i ponder the most; it's the season i sleep the least. if that's the case, i'm in trouble, because, while fall lasts like a month in wisconsin, the winters last six.
the lack of sleep only makes things worse. for some reason, no matter how late i go to sleep, i have been waking up at like 7:30am every morning since i got back from my trip.

went to see harry potter last night. i was distracted, though it was a great movie. they did a lot better with it than the 3rd one.
the whole time i was watching it, i felt like it was 2 years ago again. the anxiety, aggrivation, and hopefullness.

i missed graduating by 4 credits of upperlevels. i'm kind of glad, though it means that i'm stuck in madison for another year or so. i use the term "stuck" loosely. i haven't decided whether that's a good yet or not. a good portion of me wants to just get out of here. the other part of me wants to stay in the little lonely bubble that i've placed around myself and grown accostumed to.

it's almost 2am. i just spent about 3 hours trying to finish a takehome exam on spinoza and leibniz for my philosophy class. it goes without saying that they won. i put up a good fight, but when push comes to shove, i was the one face down in the snow pile.

things have been interesting lately...

boys are impossible. over the past few weeks, i have become numb to what they do to me, which is amazing, considering who i am. it just blows my mind sometimes. and they say girls are wishy-washy...

pfft. i'd like to show those people the boys i've been dealing with.


it's fall. the colors are beautiful. it sleeted for the first time tonight and was really cold and wet walking home from work. leave it to me to wear the backless shoes on the first night of crappy weather that begins 6 months of hibernation for me.

even so, i'm completely excited to take this trip to the blue ridge mountains in a couple of weeks. hiking and bluegrass <3 you can't get much better than that.

ps. over the rhine is coming on dec. 7 to the high noon saloon. all the cool kids are going. then again, apparently i'm only cool by association, so i guess i can only go and sit in the bathroom.

meh, i should sleep. i have to get up and go to class and then lock myself on the 4th floor of hc white in my new favorite room to write my paper that i've had for 2 weeks and have no started.

so they always say that death comes in 3's. we buried my grandma today. when i got home, my fish was dead. let's hope that third one is like an ant or something. (not aunt. ant.)
